NEMA Government Relations staff tracks, analyzes, and advocates on state, federal, and international levels developments in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) issues of particular interest to NEMA members.

Mission & Objectives

NEMA Members may participate in the EHS Council, which has these primary objectives: 

  • To inform and advise Council members about existing and impending government environmental, health and safety policies and regulations that affect their businesses.                        
  • To coordinate and provide leadership for Association actions with respect to environmental, health and safety matters in dealing with federal and state governments.     

EHS Committees & Activities

Members actively shape EHS policies via standing and ad-hoc committees in many product areas and topics.

Regulatory Calendar

EHS Briefs Newsletter

The Council publishes a biweekly e-newsletter containing summaries of relevant, and often product-specific, regulatory and legislative issues for NEMA members.
